Part # MT40416102 is a filter housing cover used on certain New Holland/CNH machines. It does not filter fluid itself — instead it closes the filter housing and seals the filter element inside so that fluid (fuel, hydraulic oil, etc.) is forced through the filter media properly.
- Often works with a filter bowl and filter element/cartridge (for example, older fuel or hydraulic filter housings).
- Without this cover and its gasket, the filter assembly will not hold pressure or seal properly.
