Triple Shredded Hardwood Mulch, sold by the cubic yard from Peach Country Tractor's yards in Mullica Hill and Williamstown, NJ. Our natural triple shredded hardwood mulch is the workhorse mulch for South Jersey gardens: undyed, fine textured and easy to spread, it holds moisture in the soil, keeps weeds down and breaks down over a season or two into organic matter that improves the bed. If you want a natural look, or you are mulching vegetable gardens and areas where you would rather skip colorants, this is the one.
Best for
- Vegetable and perennial gardens
- Shrub borders, foundation beds and tree rings
- Large areas where a natural color is preferred over dyed mulch
- Topping beds that get a fresh layer every spring

Good to know
- Natural hardwood mulch weathers from tan to grey over the season; that is normal and does not change how it works.
- Spread 2 to 3 inches deep for new beds; a 1 inch top-up refreshes an existing bed.
- Water the bed before mulching if the soil is dry; mulch holds moisture in but slows it getting in too.
