The 21.5 HP Kawasaki FR651V twin has more power in thick spring grass and a reputation for long service life, which is what most buyers are paying the difference for. It is Bad Boy's smallest riding zero turn: 42" wide, easy through a gate, and built on a welded 7-gauge steel deck.

Kawasaki or Briggs & Stratton?
We stock the MZ Rambler 42" in two builds. This one uses the 21.5 HP Kawasaki FR651V; the other uses a 19 HP Briggs & Stratton and costs less. Everything else on the machine is the same. If you have thick grass, any slope, or you plan to keep the mower a long time, most people are happier with the Kawasaki. If you have a flat lot and mow weekly, the Briggs build is a solid buy.
