Crushed concrete is recycled concrete ground into a mix of pieces and fines that compacts into a hard base. It does the same job as quarry stone under driveways, patios, sheds and parking pads at a lower price, and because it is recycled it keeps old concrete out of the landfill. Contractors use it for base and fill wherever appearance is secondary to strength.
