Playground Mulch, sold by the cubic yard from Peach Country Tractor's yards in Mullica Hill and Williamstown, NJ. Playground mulch is a clean, natural wood fiber surfacing made for the ground under swings, slides and climbing equipment. It cushions falls, drains quickly, does not splinter the way bark chips can and contains no dyes or additives. Our playground mulch is certified to the ASTM F1292 fall protection standard; ask us for the certification sheet if your school, daycare or township needs it on file.
Best for
- Home play sets and backyard swing areas
- School, daycare, church and township playgrounds
- Dog runs and paths where a soft, clean surface is wanted
- Topping up existing playground surfaces that have compacted

Good to know
- Depth matters for fall protection: most playground specifications call for 9 to 12 inches of settled wood fiber under equipment, so measure the fall zone, not just the footprint.
- Rake and fluff high traffic spots (under swings and slide exits) a few times a season and top up once a year.
- Good drainage underneath keeps the surface from staying soggy; install over a graded base, not in a low spot.
How much do I need, and what does delivery cost?
Use the calculator at the top of this page: enter the length, width and depth of the area and it rounds up to the next half yard, then enter your ZIP code for a delivery estimate. Delivery is one material per order; if you want mulch and stone on the same day, place a second order and we will bring them together where the truck sizes allow. The exact delivery fee is calculated from your street address at checkout, and pickup at either yard has no delivery fee.
